| Good day eh? I mean... Happy Independence Day! This is the first time I've celebrated the 4th of July in America since 2003. How crazy is that? Probably one of my best overseas 4th of July memories was having a wee fire down at Portencross with Claes, Sarah, Johannah, Zac and Renee. We roasted marshmallows and had S'mores and tried to feel American for a night. So in celebrating my independence, I'm going ride my motorcycle over to my parents house, because I've finally moved into town, and have my Mom cut my hair. How independent is that? I played hockey last night, which was a blast, and now I'm just kinda nursing my wounds, which aren't that bad. But as my hockey motto goes... If I'm not bleeding, I'm not having fun! and I did have a little bit of fun last night. Woo hoo! I just realized that in a week from now I'm going to be in Vancouver B.C. That is gonna rock. I've been back for 3 months and I'm already getting the itch to travel again. 3 months in one place is nearly a record for me. Ok... I'm gonna call that good for now. Talk to ya later

| So right now I'm actually just waiting around for the guy that I bought a motorcycle from to come and deliver it. It's about 11 o'clock at night and he should be here in the next half hour or so. Here's a link to a picture of it if you want to see what it looks like http://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/351482113.html I ended up getting it for only 850 bucks which is a pretty good deal. So I guess you could say that I'm looking forward to doing a wee bit of cruising this summer. I need to take the test to get my learners permit for it this week so that I can start driving it around.
In other news... uhhhhh... I just remembered that I left my rollerblades and hockey stick outside so I should probably grab those before I go to bed. I'm looking forward to playing some good old fashioned street hockey on these nice summer evenings. Honestly I can't think of much else that I haven't already said elsewhere but I wanted to update my xanga just because I like looking to see if people put any new comments on my post. So that's about it for now. Now you need to write and interesting comment for me to read when I check this tomorrow. Thanks!

| I'm home alone.... AHHHHHHHHHH!
My parents are in Hawaii until Sunday and my brother is in Washington presenting one of his papers at a philosophy conference. So I have the place to myself for the Memorial Day long weekend. I survived my first week at the shop with my new job and I think that it went really well. Everyone there is nice to work with and the job will have enough variety to keep me from getting bored I think. I may look into the possibility of taking a few mechanics classes while I'm here so that I can learn a bit about that kinda thing. I had a few friends over this afternoon to play some volleyball and I think we are going to play some more tomorrow evening. I'm planning on watching Pirates 2 this weekend (finally) so that I can be caught up in case i go to see #3 at the theatre. I also hope to get my truck washed and fixed up a wee bit over the weekend so that it will be ready to get on the road around the begining of June; and I've been reading up on the motorcycle handbook so that I can pass the written test to get my learners permit when I find a bike that I want to buy. Monday I'm going to the local race track with a friend to watch the stock cars. Man.... it really sounds like I've turned into a redneck or something. You should have seen my sweet farmers tan when I was playing volleyball without a shirt on this afternoon.
For the summer I plan on going to a friends wedding from my DTS in Vancouver B.C. around mid July and then in mid Sept. I hope to go visit Claes, Sarah and Johannah in Wisconsin for about a week or so. Other than that I hope to fit in a few camping trips here and there and figure out what ministry things, if any, I'm supposed to get involved in. I've had too many people talking to me about that stuff already. Give me a chance to figure out what's going on eh?!

| Oh lovely Saturday... if there were only more of you in the week... then by the time that Friday comes life wouldn't look so bleak.
I'm pretty confident that my calling in life is not to be a farmer, not a real one anyways. You know how God told the disciples that he would make them fishers of men? Well one time I felt that God was telling me that I was going to be a farmer (in that more non literal sense) That I would have have my own fields (ministries/people) to take care of and water and help them to grow and bring in the harvest. At least I hope God wasn't being literal.
Work on the farm has been alright but I'm getting tired from all the long days. I do a variety of different things out there... some are kinda fun and others are plain old tedious. I only have two more weeks to go out there before I start my new job here in town. Yep... last week I was offered a job working for the mechanic who does work on mine and my family's cars. I'll be helping out around the shop and I hope that I will be able to pick up some basic mechanic skills during my time there. This is really cool because it is the job I was hoping I could get and it only took one conversation to find out that he needed someone to fill the kinda job I was looking to do. Bonus points for God. I think that He has started to bless my mechanical ministry already because just moments ago I went out to help my brother see what was wrong with his car and in minutes we had it figured out and found an easy and cheap solution.
So when I was gone I missed: watching hockey on TV, driving, Mexican food and pretty much any other food. and now that I'm back I miss: Community living (believe it or not) Base worship (you better believe it) the ocean and my super sweet loft bed.

| Oh man.... how long has it been? Well, I'm back home now and I've been working out at my uncle's farm during the last couple weeks and earning some money to pay off my taxes and get me ahead of the game so that I can get my truck on the road again and get a motorcycle and all that jazz. I think it's good to get out into the country and get all that country dirt under my fingernails and in my teeth and in my hair and everywhere else. It's a bit isolated out there so it's good for me to be back home at my parents house over the weekends. I have my moments when I really miss being back in Scotland and it's ok for me to miss those things as long as I don't become discontent about being here. I know that God has promised me good things for this time and God isn't one for breaking a promise. I had a much needed time with the Lord this evening that was refreshing. I miss living in community... especially when most of my friends are still away to college and nobody could come over and play tonight. Back at the base you could almost always wander around and find something interesting going on. I'm getting together with a couple good friends after church tomorrow and I'm talking to Claes and Sarah on Skype tomorrow morning before church. Maybe that means I should go to bed instead of spending all night on the computer. Yeah... I think that's what it means. Just in case any of you missed it on my e-mail... my skype address is Tim-eh83 Goodnight all.
